Poppyfields  is a solo home registered with Ofsted. Our final outcome / goal is to ensure that each child moves on to lead a successful adult life. In order to achieve this, we will be working alongside knowledgeable and highly experienced professionals from the Children’s Home Quality Group to implement and embed a ‘loveing care’ model in the home. In order to do this each child will complete a love languages quiz to identify their primary love language. Adults will then use this to promote this area further in order to make the child feel as though they are loved. The physical décor in the home will be welcoming and homely as though it is a family environment. Training will be provided to all adults in attachment, trauma, and other therapeutic practices. We will evaluate the impact of the model using an outcome measured tool and provide a report on this. Our adults will connect with the child to understand them and build positive relationships and use language which is child friendly replacing institutionalised words. We are currently building a package of support through Chrysalis Associates to provide children with assessments and direct therapeutic support, as well as support and training for the adults who care for them, so they receive the highest care possible.
